If you have been following me on twitter then you know about my media fast for this week. If not then here it is. The idea for the media fast is 1 week without mass usage of all forms of media. I want people to utilize that idle time they spend web surfing and watching tv to use their minds in ways they have never and/or seldom do. I want to get people in the spirit of doing more with themselves outside of their norm. If it has anything to do with work, then so be it. My thing is the excess time we spend on consuming media. If we are gonna tweet, then let’s tweet about our progression of the fast. If we are websurfing let’s try to learn something new. If we are watching tv let it be something that challenges us to think and do better. That’s my aim with the whole thing. Getting people to use their minds and expand their vision.
